In the early 1970's, the Octoraro Lodge #22 History Committee published this history of Horseshoe Scout Reservation.
"This history was produced under the auspices of the Executive Committee of the Octoraro Lodge #22 Order of the Arrow. This history was written and researched by the Camp History Committee in 1972-73, Chairman, Charles Lawrence; Advisor, Robert McCarter."

This account is part of a collection compiled by Louis Lester and published in 1944. This is the only piece that does not credit an author. The editors will assume that it was written by Louis Lester until we hear otherwise.
