Many Scouters have contributed thousands upon thousands of hours to the Scouting program, and in particular, Horseshoe Scout Reservation. These ceremonies and plaques honor their contributions to making HSR and Scouting that much better.
The Royal Order of Siam (or ROS, for short) was the brainchild of Malvern 7 Scoutmaster Ken Yeager, and it was a ceremony during the 1960s and 1970s whereby Scouts from Malvern 7 and some staff would go through initiation rites in an evening ceremony that included some awfully strange customs.
HSR has hosted a number of special dinners to celebrate staff or other occasions. While not "ceremonial" per se, they are as important a tradition as any other.
Once in a great while, there is an Eagle Recognition Banquet held at Horseshoe Scout Reservation. Inside this exhibit you will find wonderful exhibits chronicling the achievements of these Scouts.
