Camp Lafayette

Camp Lafayette, located at Icedale in Chester County was the first Council Camp.  It served as the Summer Camp in 1919 and 1920.

This article was published in the 1920 Boy Scouts of America Yearbook, Chester County Council Pennsylvania and chronicles the first year at Camp Lafayette.  HSRAA Alumni Association was lucky enough to borrow a copy of the yearbook from The World of Scouting Museum in Valley Forge.

1919 Camp Lafayette Photos

This collection of pictures were scanned from the 1920 Council Yearbook.  Some of these pictures are duplicates of the originals that are now part of J. B. Rettew's collection which also can be found in the Virtual Museum and in most cases are of better quality.
